Develop your KM policy, objectives, and governance framework. Set up processes for:
Lessons learned capture and exploitation
Knowledge audits or mapping
Communities of practice or KM champions
Deploy supporting platforms (e.g. SharePoint, intranet, knowledge bases).
4. Run the System and Collect Evidence
Operate the KM system over a few months. Generate evidence such as:
KM reports and dashboards
Lessons repositories
Improvement logs
Stakeholder engagement
3. Train and Involve Staff
Conduct awareness workshops or training for:
Leadership (to demonstrate commitment)
Middle managers and knowledge owners
General staff on using KM tools/processes
